Here’s my story. My summer and falls are typically jammed with sessions. I look forward to a way to reconnect with my family in the winter. In 1998 we found Hoot Owl Resort in Waubun MN. The owners, Christian and Heather Davis became like part of our family. At that time, it was just the five of us and a couple of old snowmobiles. Today, all my kids are married and have kids. We now book and take over most of the resort a year in advance. The memories are beyond priceless. How do you put a value on that?
Sleds and winter might not be your deal, but it should not prevent you from preserving precious memories for another generation.
What is your story?
I call this “My other Mother” Occasionally you find a sibling relationship like this. It is beautiful to see, but impossible to orchestrate.
The Johnson was Dad’s snowmobile as a kid. Now the boys are taking it from there. Great memories. Great traditions. Priceless.
With four young boys, life is uncontrollable. You can bet on it. You just capture what God gives you - and love it.
In a year, Mason will be heading for college and life will change, but we have no idea how. For now, this is our family, and we love it!
